Christine Osterlund has more than 20 years of in-depth policy and operational knowledge of Medicaid and CHIP programs across several states and has served in various Senior level leadership positions with both Vendors and Medicaid programs. She joined KDHE in October 2022 and in her short tenure has served as Director of Medicaid Operations and most recently as Deputy Secretary for Agency Integration and State Medicaid Director. Prior to joining KDHE, Christine spent 5 years at Maximus, Inc., where she served as the Senior Project Manager before being promoted to Vice President. In her time with Maximus, Christine worked with Medicaid programs in the states of Indiana, Kansas, Ohio, and Virginia.  Christine also spent nine years working with the State of Florida Medicaid program which included serving as the Deputy Secretary for Medicaid Operations.  Her professional experience also includes working with Medicaid programs in the states of Alabama and Maryland. Christine is a certified Project Management Professional and has a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications with a minor in business from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.
